Y Clubes de Conversación: donde nos juntamos a conversar con un café o té de por medio, acerca de un tema que deviene de un “disparador”, que puede ser una canción, fragmento de película, recorte de revista, nota periodística, etc. Nada está condicionado… lo importante es conversar. Se complementa el trabajo con recursos de audio y video. Hay feedback al cierre del encuentro sobre errores y dudas que hayan surgido, se procura un seguimiento personalizado.

Hi everyone!
This is my first entry to the blog and I was thinking of telling some stories about our performing experiences.
For our last performance, I had thought of working with some Woody Allen scenes I like and found very useful for language and theatre practice. We goty in pairs and started reading the scenes and working on the actions and characters.
Although I tend to choose materials following my students´preferences I always like to leave them the option of choosing some material of their own in case they are not too fond of the scenes I choose. This was M.´s case, who´s always looking for new challenges. He came up with a hillarious text on "How to give a pill to a cat". The text consisted on a list of instructions to do to your cat in case you needed to give it a pill. The fun of it consisted on keeping the formal, neutral tone on describing each place the cat escaped to and each part of the house it destroyed when trying to escape from the medicine.
We all loved the text but were a bit confused on how to perform a list of actions without putting our audience to sleep. On the other hand, we wondered on how to have some substitute of a cat on stage in a way that would help the audience understand what was going on, and not bother the actor´s performance. Of course we did not aprove of real animals on stage for the sake of realism!
Well, it was a challenge to all.
Luckily, we had the most wonderful team of actors perform each action M. announced with some shiny red cushions for cats. The touch of ribbon tie and glasses M. added to his garment made him look like the perfect host for this strange event we created.
